Putin promises to help Abkhazia overcome the energy crisis – “Relations between the two countries”

Russian President Vladimir Putin said today that his country will continue to supply Abkhazia – the apostate region of Georgia supported by Russia – during a meeting with Abkhazio leader Bandra Gunba in the Kremlin. Putin congratulated Gunba on his electoral victory, describing Russia’s relations with Abkhazia as “separate”. The elections were held a few months after the resignation of Gunba’s predecessor, at the expense of episodic demonstrations following the disclosure of an investment agreement with Moscow. For the international community (with the exception of the Russian Federation and a few more countries) Abkhazia remains part of agriculture, which described the elections as “yet another blatant violation of national sovereignty and the territorial integrity of agriculture”.
