Putin says there is no limit to financial support for Russian Armed Forces

Russian President Vladimir Putin promised on Wednesday (21) to give the country’s armed forces whatever they ask for in support of the military campaign in Ukraine.

In a speech to defense chiefs in Moscow, Putin said there were no financial limits to what the government would provide to the armed forces.

He also said Russia needed to take special note of the importance of drones in the 10-month conflict and said Russia’s hypersonic Sarmat missile – dubbed “Satan 2” – would be ready to launch in the near future.

Winning in Ukraine without militarizing Russia’s economy

Putin further asserted that Russia can achieve the goals of what he calls Moscow’s “special military operation” in Ukraine without harming the economy by militarizing it.

Speaking at a year-end conference of Russia’s top military officials, Putin said Russia would steadily and calmly improve its military forces without jeopardizing the quality of social services for the Russian people.
