Putin signs decree recruiting Russian reservists for military training

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on the recruitment of Russian reservists for military training in 2022, according to the Russian news agency Ria Novosti.

“In 2022, Russian citizens in reserve are being recruited to undergo military training in the Russian Armed Forces, state security agencies and federal security services,” the statement said.

According to the decree, the government and regional authorities must ensure the implementation of measures related to training camps.

The call for military service is the legal recruitment of civilians to perform military duties in the Armed Forces and other troops and is an integral part of the army staffing, the report said.

The training camp of the Russian reservists aims to improve their military training. This is a planned action that takes place every year.

Reserves can be called up every three years. The maximum duration of training for them is two months, and a reserve can not spend more than 12 months in the service during this service. On average, reserves are called up once a year.
