Putin: There are ‘positive changes’ in talks with Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke today about some progress in the talks between Moscow and Kyiv, without giving further details, as reported by Reuters.

The Russian president did not elaborate on the issue in his statements to the cameras, but indicated that he would discuss more details with his Belarusian counterpart.

As for sanctions, Lukashenko told Putin that both belonged to the Soviet generation that had experienced sanctions and that the Soviet Union had grown significantly.

“You are right,” Putin replied, “the Soviet Union lived under constant sanctions, but it developed and made colossal achievements.”
