The Russian president Vladimir Putin clarified on Thursday to his French counterpart Emanuel Macron in their telephone communicationthat the goals of the Russian operation in Ukraine, namely demilitarization and the neutral regime, will be achieved in any case, the Kremlin said.
Putin said any efforts by Kyiv to delay the talks would result in Moscow adding more demands to the list.
The two leaders talked about one and a half hour, as the French Presidency announced earlier. This is the third conversation between the two men since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24.
