He said he was sure that the leadership of Donald Trump’s US counterpart would help restore relations between the two countries. “With President Trump’s arrival (in the White House), I believe that there was finally a light on the end of the tunnel. And now we had a very good, meaningful and honest meeting in Alaska, “he added, referring to last week’s summit. “The next steps will now depend on the United States leadership but I am optimistic that the leadership skills of the current President, President Trump, are a good guarantee that relations will be restored,” he said.
