Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vuτςiτς agreed in a telephone conversation today that Russia would continue to supply gas to Serbia, while the two countries would strengthen their cooperation, the Kremlin said.
The two leaders also discussed Ukraine and Kosovo, according to the same statement.
The President of Serbia stated today that he has agreed to sign a three-year contract for the supply of natural gas from Russia.
“I can not talk about the price now, all the details will be agreed with Gazprom,” Vucic told reporters.
Serbia’s ten-year gas supply contract with Gazprom expires on May 31st. Vuτςiτς also said that he had discussed with Putin the expansion of the gas storage facility in Serbia.
