The opinion that Russia has no choice but to take into account the nuclear capabilities of NATO was expressed by Vladimir Putin, according to what was reported by the TASS news agency.
“In today’s conditions, when all the prominent NATO countries have declared that their main objective is to inflict a strategic defeat on us, so that our people will suffer, as they say, how can we ignore their nuclear capabilities under these conditions” , the Russian president told state-run Rossiya1 TV station, according to TASS.
The West, Putin declared, wants to annihilate Russia.
“They have one goal: to break up the former Soviet Union and its fundamental part – the Russian Federation,” Putin said, according to TASS.
Putin has accused NATO of participating in the conflict in Ukraine by supplying weapons to Kiev’s forces.
“They are sending tens of billions of dollars worth of weapons to Ukraine. This is truly participation,” Putin said. “This means that they participate, albeit indirectly, in the crimes of the Kiev regime.”
