Putin won’t be called to Queen’s funeral over Ukraine invasion: source

Russian President Vladimir Putinwill not be invited to the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II by because of your invasion of ukrainea senior British government source told CNN on Tuesday.

Normally, all countries with which the UK maintains normal diplomatic relations would be invited to a state funeral, like the one to be held for the late monarch in London next Monday.

A second UK government source told CNN that up to 500 foreign dignitaries were to attend the funeral.

The UK has been one of Russia’s strongest opponents of the war and one of Ukraine’s biggest supporters, providing money, weapons and aid.
