Putin’s letter to Anastasiadis – What the Russian president says

Congratulatory letter from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin handed over today, Thursday, to the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Anastasiadis, the ambassador of Russia in Cyprus Stanislav Osaci, on the occasion of tomorrow’s anniversary of the proclamation of the Independence of the Republic of Cyprus.

In his letter, President Putin assures that Russia will continue to supports the efforts of President Anastasiadis to achieve a comprehensive, just and sustainable solution to the Cyprus. A solution that, he says, will help boost peace and stability in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Furthermore, Mr. Putin points out that the relations between the two countries are based on the friendship and in mutual respect, while expressing the belief that the existing constructive cooperation between Russia and Cyprus will be developed in areas of common interest for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries, as broadcast by APE BPE.

Finally, the Russian President expresses his special appreciation to President Anastasiadis for his personal contribution to enhancement relations between the two countries, while wishing the Cypriot people continued progress and prosperity.
