Community members LGBT+ they can go to Soccer World Cup in the Catarrhbut the West cannot “dictate” to the Qataris what they should believe, said today Minister of Energy of the country in the German newspaper Bild.

The Qatar’s relations with Germany is, as reported by the Athenian-Macedonian News Agency, relevant agitated lately. The German Minister of the Interior Nancy Feser wore a ‘OneLove’ armband at the German national team match against Japan last week and has criticized the human rights situation in Qatar, but this week Germany ratified a deal to import liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Qatar.

“If they want to visit Qatar, we have no problem with that” said the Minister of Energy, Saad Serida Al-Kaabi, about the LGBTI+ community in comments to Bild newspaper published today.

However, he stated that the West wants to “dictate what it wishes” in Qatar, where homosexuality is illegal.

“If you want to change me to say that I believe in the (community) LGBTI+, that my family should be LGBTI+, that I should accept LGBTI+ in my country, change my laws and Islamic laws in order to satisfy the West — then that is not acceptable,” he added.
