In it, Antonio Pancheri talks to his wife and daughter who are on a trip to Morocco.
The phone call was made on June 4, 2022 and Pancheri’s wife can be heard saying to him: “It went really well, they made us feel like VIPs, we went for coffee at Atmun”. For him to come back, asking:Did you see the boxes?». “Yes, we saw them!” replied Coleoni, apparently to the satisfaction of Pancheri, who was heard to laugh.
But who is the Atmun mentioned in the phone call? Abderrahim Atmoun is a Moroccan diplomat, and as the same publication reports, he is known in the circuit as “the giant”, who was ambassador in Warsaw and maintained direct contacts with the Italian former, now, MEP from Bergamo.
The direct call to Atmun
That same day, a few hours later, Pancheri spoke directly to Atmun on the phone. Pancheri then makes reference to “Council of Moroccans” and talks about a draft contract, some kind of agreement. Atmun, in turn, confirms what he hears and refers to a contract “for one yearbefore hanging up.
The authorities are investigating this particular conversation in order to understand what contract they were talking about and what was its content.
