Along with the Meizu 18 smartphone, Meizu today presented its improved, but at the same time, more overall version – Meizu 18 Pro. It is also built on Snapdragon 888 and is also equipped with the latest generation Samsung AMOLED E4, but the screen size is larger.
If the Meizu 18 uses a 6.23-inch matrix, then its size is already 6.7 inches. But for the rest of the parameters, the screens of the new Meizu flagships are the same: 100 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, support for HDR10 +, frame rate 120 Hz, peak brightness of 1300 cd / m2 and, of course, the presence of an ultrasonic sub-screen fingerprint scanner Qualcomm 3D Sonic Sensor. The smartphone is 8.1 mm thick and weighs 189 grams.
The Meizu 18 Pro uses UFS 3.1 and LPDDR5 memory, there are Wi-Fi 6E and NFC adapters (the latter is fully functional, it can be used as a car key, if such a function is supported in the car), and an enlarged heat pipe. It differs from the younger model Meizu 18 Pro not only by support for wireless charging and increased wired power up to 40 W, but also by the increased capacity of the battery – it is 4500 mAh.
If the front camera of the Meizu 18 has a resolution of 20 megapixels, then the front camera of the Meizu 18 Pro uses the Samsung GH1 sensor with a resolution of 44 megapixels. And the dominant position in the main one is occupied by the Samsung GN1 sensor with a resolution of 50 megapixels. The module with an ultra wide-angle lens uses a 32MP sensor, the third module uses an 8MP sensor and 3x optical zoom. The maximum claimed zoom is 30x. The fourth module is the 3D ToF camera. Also in the main camera of the Meizu 18 Pro, a hybrid stabilization system (optical and electronic) is implemented.
Sales start on March 8th, with prices announced. The base Meizu 18 Pro with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of flash costs $ 775 in China. The other two versions – from 8/256 GB and 12/256 GB – 850 and 930 dollars, respectively.
