Qualcomm has posted a post on its Twitter social media page about its partnership with Honor, a former Huawei subsidiary that became independent last year.
Honor later confirmed that the upcoming Honor 50 series of smartphones will be powered by the Snapdragon 778G SoC announced this week. The announcement was made by Fang Fei, President of Honor’s product line.

Working closely with Qualcomm Technologies, the Snapdragon 778G Mobile Platform will form the backbone of our new Honor 50 Series, which will set a new design standard for Honor and provide a great experience for our users.

There is a possibility that not all models will receive the Snapdragon 778G mobile platform. Earlier it was reported that the Honor 50 will have a Dimensity 1200 SoC, while the Honor 50 Pro will receive a Snapdragon line-up system.
The Honor 50 is expected to be announced later this month.
