Qualcomm is resurrecting old platforms? Samsung Galaxy A82 is built on Snapdragon 855, which is already two years old

It is not yet clear if Qualcomm really resurrected the Snapdragon 855, or it is still being successfully produced, but one thing is certain: if the Galaxy A82 5G with it is just getting ready for release, then the stock of Snapdragon 855 should be decent – after all, the smartphone is still on sale a year after the premiere.

The hardware platform may be old, but the software is quite fresh Android 11. Obviously, the Galaxy A82 5G will receive the One UI 3.1 interface out of the box. The amount of RAM of the smartphone is also known – 6 GB. Judging by the designation (SM-A826S), the Galaxy A82 5G version for the Korean home market was tested in Geekbench, but the sales geography of the potential novelty will be much wider.
