Experts from the analytical company Canalys summed up the results of the fourth quarter of 2021 in the market of fully wireless headsets (TWS). According to their calculations, the supply of these products in annual terms increased by 21% and reached 103.8 million units, breaking the mark of 100 million for the first time.

Apple, having released the third generation AirPods model, showed a 20% increase in shipments, from 33.7 to 40.4 million units. However, Apple’s share decreased from 39.3% to 38.9%, because, as mentioned above, the market as a whole grew by 21%.
Second place goes to Samsung. The South Korean manufacturer managed to increase supplies by only 15%, from 6.8 to 7.8 million units. As a result, its share decreased from 7.9% to 7.5%.
Xiaomi, which is in third place, reduced shipments by 4%, from 7.2 to 6.9 million units. This led to a decrease in the share of Xiaomi from 8.4% to 6.7%.
The top five also includes boat and Edifier. The first was able to increase deliveries from 1.3 to 3.7 million units, or by 195%. The result was an increase in the share from 1.5% to 3.8%. Edifier increased shipments by just 5%, from 3.0 million to 3.2 million units, so that its share decreased from 3.5% to 3.1%.
