Queen Elizabeth is the greatest influencer of the last century

Girls, get in there: the biggest influencer of the century she is 96 years old and by profession she is queen. True queen, not of the web. A research conducted by the British magazine says so Good Housekeeping: Elizabeth II was referred to as the female model of reference in the last century by the highest percentage of women interviewed.

After the Queen, the champion indicated his mother or grandmother as a model.

The research was commissioned by the magazine to celebrate his centenary and was conducted on a sample of 2451 readers, in order to define the biggest changes involving women over the past 100 years. “We wanted to understand what were the key developments in British culture according to the women of the Kingdom,” she explained Gaby Huddart, editor of the magazine. “And the study brought us surprising results, including the very fact that Queen Elizabeth II is considered the greatest influencer of our generation“.

Of the innovations that changed British culture, 75% of respondents naturally indicated Internet as the most impactful of the modern era, while the washing machine has surpassed refrigerators and freezers among the domestic appliances that changed your life. In general, however, almost all respondents – 91% – believe that the life of women today is much better than it was a century agothanks above all to economic independenceaccess toinstruction and al birth control.

The search for Good Housekeeping only confirms the results of the British statistical society YouGovaccording to which – also in the wake of the recent celebrations of Platinum Jubilee – the Sovereign is the most popular royal ever among citizens with a British passport.

Immediately behind her, there is Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, whose prices have risen – despite the criticism on his way of raising children followed by show of Prince Louis during the June celebrations – and allowed her to overtake her husband as well Williamwhich in the previous research was in second position behind the grandmother.

Little could the trip to London, however, for the popularity of Harry And Meghan Markle in Britain: approval by 32% of Brits rose to just 34% for Harry, while his wife went from 24 to 25%.
