On the occasion of its celebration Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeththe BBC created one 75-minute documentary dedicated to the life of the 96-year-old queen, which focuses mainly on the first years, from the day of her birth to her coronation in 1953, at the age of 27 years.
This is the first time the queen has given in to the television network access to hundreds of personal videos of the royal familyshot in more than 400 reels, previously housed in a private wing of the British Film Institute.
These records include footage, films and photographs from behind the scenes of official palace events, as well as personal snapshots taken by the members of the royal family themselves. One of the clips, according to APE-MPE, records Philip’s first visit to Balmoral Castle in Scotland in 1946, before their engagement was announced. It is distinguished a smiling Elizabeth showing off her engagement ring to the camera.

More footage of Prince George’s uncle’s last visit to King George VI in Balmoral in 1951, as a young mother with Prince Charles and Princess Anna. The producers of the documentary have listened to more than three hundred speeches of the queen for 80 years.
“This documentary is a great look at one deep personal side of the Basilica “A family we rarely see and it is wonderful to be able to share it with the nation as we celebrate its Platinum Jubilee,” said BBC editor-in-chief Simon Young.

The documentary that has the title “Elizabeth: The Unseen Queen”, will be screened in the UK on May 29, a week before national celebrations for the Queen’s 70th year on the throne.
