Queen Elizabeth: Prince George and Princess Charlotte in the funeral procession

Prince George and Princess Charlotte will attend on Monday at Queen Elizabeth’s funeralwhich Prince William and Kate Middleton’s two older children called “Gan-Gan.”

There were initially doubts whether they would attend because of their ages, as Prince George is 9 and Princess Charlotte is 7. Both will walk behind their great-grandmother’s coffin. The two brothers will not be accompanied by 4-year-old Louie.

It is noted that at 12:30 today (Greece time), the Queen’s coffin will be transferred from Parliament to Westminster Abbey, in a carriage, which will be located outside the north door of Westminster Hall. From there it will be transported by members of the Royal Navy to the Abbey.

It is expected that there will be a lot of people on the streets. Behind the coffin will be King Charles as well as members of the royal family, as was done for Princess Diana and Prince Philip. Members of the military will also take part in the procession.

The Queen’s coffin will be placed on a high plinth and the Abbey will be packed with around 2,000 people, including members of the Royal Family, Prime Minister Liz Truss, former British Prime Ministers and foreign leaders such as Joe Biden and other personalities, who will see the process.

The funeral will be held at Westminster Abbey by the Dean and Archbishop of Canterbury. The ceremony will be televised and is expected to be watched by millions of people around the world.
