THE Queen Elizabeth may passed away a few days ago at the age of 96, but he has left a secret letter which he drafted in 1986 and is now kept in a vault to be read in 2085.
According to nypost.comthe letter was written to celebrate the restoration of the Queen Victoria Building located in Sydney, Australia, but no one knows what the British monarch wrote.
According to the American publication, the building was built in 1898 and got the name of from her great-grandmother, Queen Victoria, while located in the city center. Nonetheless, in 1986 a company from Malaysia signed a 99-year lease on the building – with the contract running until 2085 – and he intended to demolish it to make way for a car park. But after reactions from the residents, the plan did not proceed, as a result of which the building was preserved.
So far, the content of the letter is unclear, but some speculate it will thank Sydney residents for saving and renovating the historic building after it was almost demolished to make way for the car park.
It is noted that Queen Elizabeth had visited Australia 16 times – with the last trip in 2011 – while she was considered the head of state, since the country belongs to the British Commonwealth.
