Members of Britain’s close royal family rushed to Balmoral Palace in Scotland yesterday to be next to Queen Elizabeth after doctors warned her about her health, but they didn’t get to see her before she passed away, according to Daily Mail. Only her eldest children, Britain’s new King Charles and his sister Princess Anne, managed to be by her side before her death, according to imgs cited by the British newspaper.
Prince Andrew, Prince Edward with his wife Sophia and Prince William, although they rushed to Scotland, it seems that they did not have time to say goodbye to Queen Elizabeth while she was alive.
Prince Harry arrived at Balbral about 1.5 hours later the public announcement that Queen Elizabeth had passed away.
Charles was at Queen Elizabeth’s side just hours before Buckingham Palace first announced that the 96-year-old’s doctors were “concerned” about her health.
Charles traveled to Scotland in the Queen Elizabeth helicopter which took off at 8.48am on Thursday morning to collect him from Dumfries House before finally arriving at Balmoral Palace at 12.27pm on Thursday. His wife, Camila, was also taken there by car.
The Queen’s daughter, Princess Anne, was already with her mother as she took on events in the area.
Palace staff arranged for jets to be sent to Scotland to fly Prince Edward, his wife, whom the 96-year-old monarch considered her second daughter, and Prince Andrew. Prince William was also on the same plane with them. His wife Kate stayed with their children as they had just started the new school year.
The family arrived at Balmoral at 7.06pm and although Buckingham Palace has not confirmed the time of death, it is believed they did not get to see the 96-year-old monarch before she died.
