Even the reaction of the founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, was caused by the post of a university professor, who wished the Queen Elizabeth “torturous” death shortly before he died. “I heard that the head of the monarchy of a predatory genocidal empire is finally dying. May her pain be excruciating,” Uju Anya, a professor at Carnegie Mellon University, wrote in a tweet on Thursday.
The third richest man in the world responded, writing: “This is a man who is supposed to be working to make the world a better place? I do not think”.
The tragic message was posted as the 96-year-old queen was at Balmoral Castle in Scotland and an hour later her death was announced.
In subsequent messages the professor defended her original tweet. He also wrote a response to Jeff Bezos, noting: “May all who you and your merciless greed have harmed in this world remember you as fondly as I remember my colonists.”
Twitter later took down her original message for violating its terms.
When a user asked her why she wanted her dead, the professor replied: “I don’t wish for her death. He’s already dying. I wish her an agonizing, painful death like the one she caused to millions of people.”
According to an interview, Anya was born in Nigeria, a British colony until 1960. She moved to the US at the age of 10 and attended Dartmouth College, Brown University and Los Angeles University.
THE Jeff Bezos he did not reply to the teacher but posted a message, sending his condolences on the death of Queen Elizabeth.
