Yesterday morning, the King and Queen of the Netherlands landed in Pretoria. King William and Queen Maxima dei Netherlands will be in official trip to South Africa until October 20th, at the invitation of the country’s president Cyril Ramaphosa. A very busy program awaits them in these two days. Indeed, several visits are scheduled today. The first will begin after the brief welcome received on arrival and will be at the Blesbokspruit Wetland Reserve. Afterwards, the delegation will visit the Apartheid Museum and at midday will meet several participants at the Innovation Village, an economic mission that aims to strengthen partnerships between South Africa and the Netherlands. And so on until the evening, when the king and queen will receive the Dutch who live and work in the South African capital.
An eventful day that may require more than a change of clothes from Queen Máxima. But that wouldn’t be necessary, because the outfit she chose to land is suitable for almost every program on the agenda.
Queen Maxima of the Netherlands set foot on South African soil wearing a raincoat dress in a very appropriate indigo blue. The jewel buttons and the light, slightly shiny fabric gave a sophisticated touch to an item of clothing for every day and for any occasion.

The royal couple was received with full honors at Waterkloof Military Airport on a visit that aims to reaffirm South Africa as one of the Netherlands’ most important partners on the African continent and advance solutions for a more equitable, inclusive and sustainable.
On 19 October, the King and Queen of the Netherlands and their accompanying ministers will meet the President of South Africa, and on Friday they will leave for Cape Town.
