Quentin Tarantino will sell 7 unreleased ‘Pulp Fiction’ dinners as NFTs

The two-time Oscar-winning director and screenwriter announced Tuesday that he will sell NFTs — the “non-fungible tokens” — for seven original scenes from “Pulp Fiction,” possibly his most famous film.

Tarantino will auction the never-before-seen clips as “Secret NFTs”, which will be built on Secret Network – a blockchain that focuses on privacy.

The NFTs will also include excerpts from the original handwritten script for “Pulp Fiction” as well as exclusive commentary from the writer and director.

Tarantino’s commentary will reveal “secrets about the film and its creator,” according to Secret Network.

Tarantino won the Oscar for best original screenplay for “Pulp Fiction” in 1994 and for “Django Livre”, released in 2012.

“I’m excited to introduce these exclusive ‘Pulp Fiction’ scenes to fans,” Tarantino said in a statement on Tuesday.

For those unfamiliar with NFTs, each is “certified” on the blockchain to give it a verified identity, making them collectible items that can be extremely valuable.

Last year, an NFT by artist Mike Winkelmann – better known as Beeple – sold for $69 million.

“Pulp Fiction” is not the first movie to enter the NFT game. VeVe Partners and MGM Studios announced in September that they would release James Bond NFTs for last month’s “No Time to Die,” the final film in the series.

“Pulp Fiction” — which brings together several wild and lewd stories of criminals in Los Angeles — is one of the most influential films of the last 30 years and has a 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
