With the entry into force of the Covid-19 green certification also changes the season of rapid antigenic swabs. And to favor those who are waiting for the first dose or still within 15 days of administration, families with underage children (which in any case, except for contraindications, they should get vaccinated as soon as possible up to the age of 12), those who cannot get vaccinated and other situations will cost much less. In particular, for people aged 12 to 18 just 8 euros. While from 18 years upwards, therefore for all the others, the price will rise to 15 euros. Finally putting order on a front on which the regions have moved in no particular order in recent months.
“We have signed an agreement between Commissioner Figliuolo, in agreement with the Ministry of Health, and all the organizations representing Italian pharmacists, which provides citizens with a reduced price of 8 euros in the range from 12 to 18 years and a controlled cost 15 euros for the over 18 age bracket “explained the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, in the press conference at the end of the Cdm that approved the decree on the extension of the green pass to school, transport and other areas. “At the moment the law is in force until the end of September – said Speranza – and the government then reserves the right to make its assessments”.
In fact, it is not unlikely that, at that point, with all the time available to vaccinate after the mandatory green pass, the strategy could change: the tampons could recover their previous cost as an incentive to vaccinate. A question of executive choices. We will see.
The memorandum of understanding will guarantee the administration of rapid antigen tests valid for the issue of digital certification at a controlled price, but only by the participating pharmacies. The agreement was prepared by the Extraordinary Commissioner Figliuolo in agreement with the Ministry of Hope and the presidents of Federfarma, Assofarm and FarmacieUnite. It is not yet clear the exact number of pharmacies that will take part in the agreement: the protocol will be valid until the end of September and the list of participating pharmacies will be published on the website institution of the Extraordinary Commissioner for the Covid-19 emergency. For the moment, regarding the tests performed in favor of minors between 12 and 18 years, participating pharmacies will receive a government grant of € 7.
The 15 euros include, in addition to the professional service linked to the administration and issue of the digital certification, the procurement costs of rapid antigen tests, consumables, logistics costs and any other accessory charges. The reservations, the management of appointments and the execution of tests will be carried out independently by the pharmacies, ensuring priority for the age group 12-18 years.
In addition to the green pass issues, the Council of Ministers also ruled that the quarantine for those who are vaccinated and have come into close contact with a person who turned out to be positive will drop to 7 days, with a swab at the end of the week of isolation. For those who have not been vaccinated it remains fixed at ten days.
