Buckingham Palace released an official statement after Prince Harry of Sussex and his wife, Duchess Meghan Markle, spoke to TV host Oprah Winfrey about incidents of racism within the royal family.
The entire royal family is saddened to learn the details of how hard life has been for Harry and Meghan over the past few years, the statement said.
According to Buckingham Palace, the racial issues raised by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are troubling and will be dealt with privately by the family.
The statement said that “the memories may be different,” but the statements made by Harry and Meghan in an interview with Oprah Winfrey were taken very seriously.
