RACIB launched a project to relocate mining facilities to Russia

The Russian Association of Cryptoindustry and Blockchain (RAKIB) announced the launch of a project, within which it is planned to attract miners to place facilities in Russia.

In its statement, RACIB reminds that more than 1 PW of electricity is produced in Russia, and the country’s territories are excellent for placing mining farms. This is facilitated by both the surplus of energy and the cold climate, which makes it much cheaper to remove heat from the equipment. The RAKIB also notes the low population density, which makes it possible to place almost any possible capacity without special costs and difficulties.

“To promote and implement this project, RACIB works closely with the authorities of the Russian Federation, its regions and state corporations. Several working groups have already been formed, which include representatives of the energy complex and state corporations, ”the statement says.

The representatives of RACIB did not forget about the current trend for the use of “green energy” for bitcoin mining. They recalled that wind farms are being actively built and put into operation in Russia. One of the most attractive locations for placing equipment is the Rostov Region, where the largest wind power plant with a capacity of 300 MW is located in the Kamensky District.

Naturally, this statement is associated with large-scale mining bans in China, where the authorities are taking a course towards ecology. Previously, The 9City Shanghai-based company announced plans to move capacity from China to Russia.
