After the case of racism involving Samara Felippo's daughter was notified, Colégio Vera Cruz organized a meeting this Tuesday (30) that included the two accused students, accompanied by their families, and the victim, a 14-year-old girl.
Following the meeting, the students were informed about the sanctions imposed, which include suspension and a ban on participating in a specific school project. The school indicated that new sanctions may be applied, depending on the results of the ongoing investigation.
According to the college, these disciplinary actions were established in accordance with internal procedures and the severity of the reported acts of racism. Additional reparation measures are being considered and will be defined in due course.
Remember the case
Actress Samara Felippo reported that her daughter was the target of racism at Escola Vera Cruz, located in the west of São Paulo. On April 22, two students damaged the victim's school work and wrote racist insults in his notebook, which was later left in the lost and found section.
Samara Felippo registered a police report, and the case is being investigated by the police as racial or color prejudice.
This Tuesday (30), Samara was interviewed for two hours at a police station in São Paulo, where she explained the conversation she had with her daughter and recalled other similar episodes that had happened previously.
