So the card will be based on a Navi 23 GPU with 1,792 stream processors active. The same configuration is used for the mobile Radeon RX 6600M and the professional Radeon Pro W6600.

As with the RX 6600 XT, there will be no reference design. For promotional purposes, AMD is using the image of a single-fan card that it used for the RX 6600 XT. But the reference adapter with this design did not appear.

GPU frequencies will be 2044-2491 MHz, that is, the base frequency is more than 300 MHz lower than that of the RX 6600 XT, while the maximum frequencies differ by less than 100 MHz. The card’s TBP (typical board power consumption) is declared at 132 watts. Also, the card is equipped with 8 GB of GDDR6 memory with a frequency of 16 GHz. This implies the possibility of release later than versions with 4 GB of memory. The bus remains 128-bit, the Infinity Cache is 32 MB.

The source also has official AMD performance data. Recently, the company has been providing fairly accurate indicators for comparison, so that they can generally be trusted.

As you can see, it all depends on the game, but this is always true. On average, the performance of the Radeon RX 6600 should be identical to the capabilities of the GeForce RTX 3060, except for ray tracing tests, where Nvidia cards are almost always faster.

In addition, it can be noted that in Full HD with maximum graphics quality settings, the new AMD product will be enough to provide more than 80 fps in any game.
