Radio presenter arrested in Bahia suspected of raping and filming teenagers

A 28-year-old man was arrested this Wednesday (18), suspected of raping, filming and extorting minors. According to information from the Civil Police of Bahia, the arrest warrant for rape was served in the Itinga neighborhood, in Lauro de Freitas, in the metropolitan region of Salvador.

“Operation Querubim” is the result of investigations by the Specialized Police Station for the Repression of Crimes against Children and Adolescents (Dercca) that lasted 18 months.

According to the Civil Police, the investigation into the case began around a year and a half ago, with the first incident being registered against the man. Subsequently, there was a second complaint.

During the execution of the judicial search and seizure order against the suspect, it was discovered that there may be other victims.

In the house of the suspect, who is a radio presenter, teddy bears, condoms and other objects that made reference to the victims were found. His cell phone was seized and will undergo forensic examination.

The head of Dercca, delegate Simone Moutinho, explains how the man acted. “He attracted victims’ trust on the internet, sometimes posing as a woman or someone of the same age. He then claimed that they had won a cell phone through a draw. He then paid for transportation via app so they could go to the location to collect the device. There, however, he raped the victim, in addition to photographing and filming the violence. Afterwards, according to investigations, the suspect was still carrying out extortion, forcing these victims to return to the location to be raped again,” he said.

In addition to having an arrest warrant for a case of rape, the man will also be subject to arrest in the act for his alleged participation in scenes of explicit sexual or pornographic content involving children or adolescents. Additionally, Dercca is conducting an investigation related to the possible occurrence of virtual rape.
