Radioactivity levels remain normal in Iran after Israel’s attacks, IOEA General Manager said

The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Service, Rafael Grossi, informed the Security Council that the service had been alerted early in the morning to the Israeli military operation, which was also targeting nuclear facilities in Iran. The IAEA is in constant communication with the Iranian Nuclear Energy Regulatory Authority to assess damage and potential risks. According to Mr Grossi: The fuel enrichment unit in Natanz has been seriously affected. The underground portion of the pilot factory, where heaven was enriched up to 60% U-235, was destroyed, as was the electrodic infrastructure (station, generators, backup systems). There is no indication of a natural destruction in the underground section of the facilities, but the power failure may have caused damage to the centrifuges. Radioactivity levels out of space remain normal, without external impact on the population or environment.
