Rafael Kent, one of Brazil’s greatest music video directors, dies

One of the most important music video directors in Brazil, Rafael Kent died this Saturday (23). The news was confirmed through a statement issued by producer Cave, of which Kent was a partner. Details on the cause of death were not released.

“It is with great sadness that we communicate the passing of Rafael Kent @okent, partner and stage director at CAVE. We appreciate everyone’s love and prayers. Soon we will share more information with you all.”

On social media, artists mourned the director’s death. The singer Emicida classified the death as an “immense loss” and praised his colleague.

“A fun guy and time to work hard! Heart tight here. My condolences to the family at this time. Thanks for helping us tell wonderful stories bro!”.

The singer Teago Oliveira, from the band “Maglore”, also paid tribute on his social networks.

“Friends, sorry to report, still dizzy, but Rafael Kent passed away last night. It wasn’t a rumor, unfortunately. Everyone is bewildered, but it’s already been confirmed. I have no further information and I hope everyone can welcome the family and his wife Tania in the best possible way,” he wrote.

Kent worked on several successful clips such as “Bang”, by Tiago Iorc, in 2016 and Passarinhos, by Emicida, in 2015. .
