Rafah Crossing Opened – Trucks Bring Humanitarian Aid To Gaza Strip

Trucks with humanitarian aid for Gaza Strip have begun entering the Rafah crossing, which links Egypt to the besieged Palestinian enclave, according to images broadcast by Egyptian state television.

The information was confirmed by a source in the security services and an official of the Egyptian Red Crescent to AFP.

“The humanitarian aid convoy that is due to enter (the Gaza Strip) today includes 20 trucks carrying medicine, medical equipment and a limited amount of food supplies (canned food)”reports a statement from the Hamas press office.

A Palestinian border official said that the trucks have already reached the Palestinian side of the Rafa passage.

“Leave Egypt and Jordan immediately”

The Israel asked its citizens in Egypt and Jordan to leave those countries “as soon as possible” because of the worsening protests due to the continuation of the war.

A corresponding level 4 warning, the highest, has already been issued for Turkey, while the recommendation for Morocco has been revised to level 3, with authorities advising Israeli citizens not to visit the country.

“Due to the continuation of the war and the significant worsening in recent days of demonstrations against Israel (…) and demonstrations of hostility and violence against Israeli and Jewish symbols”Israel’s National Security Council recommends that Israelis avoid traveling to the entire “Middle East and Arab countries.”
