One week after the mass anti -government mobilizations began in Turkey, triggered by the arrest and detention of the opposition mayor of Constantinople Ekrem Imamoglu, the Turkish opposition calls on the demonstrations to generalize. “In every city where we go, we will have the largest demonstrations in its history,” said Ozgur Ozel, the leader of the Republican People’s Party (CHP), speaking on the BBC television network yesterday. In addition to the mobilizations across the country, the largest opposition’s lineup is preparing to organize massive mobilization in Constantinople the day after tomorrow. According to Mr Ozel, the mobilizations will continue until Ekrem Imamoglu is released, or early presidential elections.
