Rain causes flooding in Rio and family is rescued in car dragged by current

The heavy rain that fell on Wednesday night (21), in Nova Iguaçu, in Baixada Fluminense, caused flooding and flooding.

Other videos circulating on social media show some neighborhoods flooded. And even a supermarket was invaded by water.

Due to the rain, train circulation on the Japeri branch was affected. According to Supervia – the concessionaire that manages trains in Rio de Janeiro, the Comendador Soares and Paracambi stations were closed. Trains leaving Central do Brasil for Baixada Fluminense are only going to Nova Iguaçu station.
