From Friday (20), the rain will gain intensity in Southeast Brazil.
In an interview with CNN Radio Climatempo meteorologist Maria Clara Sassaki said that the alert is valid for the metropolitan region of São Paulo, the north coast, the Paraíba Valley, the south of Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro.
“On the weekend we will also have a risk of storms, rain with wind, but Friday deserves special attention, because the amount of water will be greater, as well as the risk of disorders.”
The south of the country has also been suffering from strong storms.
According to Sassaki, Santa Catarina and Paraná, in the next few days, are at risk of “flooding, landslides and roadblocks” due to the rains.
Only Rio Grande do Sul escapes, “with just some cloudiness and occasional rain.”
The North and Northeast regions will also be affected by an intertropical convergence zone.
“It should rain between Piauí and Amapá with isolated showers on the east coast of the Northeast.”
The Midwest will have a typical summer climate, with high temperatures and the potential for hailstorms in the afternoon, in the three states and in the Federal District.
