Almost all Brazilian states should register rain, this Tuesday (1), with a lot of cloudiness. According to Climatempo’s forecast, the rains may gain strength in Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais. In addition, thermometers should rise again in Rio Grande do Sul.
In theory, this Tuesday (1), the humidity corridor that comes from the south of the Amazon region and has caused heavy rains from the North to the Southeast in recent days begins to unravel.
It was this corridor, called the South Atlantic Convergence Zone (ZCAS), which, when it collided with a cold front in São Paulo, ended up causing the storms, which left at least 24 dead and more than 1,500 homeless or displaced families.
However, Climatempo meteorologists warn that, despite the SACZ being disfigured, many areas of instability remain scattered over the country, which creates conditions for rain in many places.
“It rains several times throughout the day, at any time. There is a risk of lightning and heavy rain in many states. Most of the country has few periods of sunshine, always between many clouds”, points out Climatempo.
The cold front that acted on the coast of São Paulo in recent days should advance towards Rio de Janeiro. This should provide stronger rains in all regions of Rio de Janeiro, reaching Minas Gerais.
“The day will be marked by a lot of cloudiness and rain at various times, including in the capital. Despite the rain, temperatures rise and the maximum reaches 30 °C in the capital of Rio de Janeiro”, predicts Climatempo, which also warns of the risk of flooding, flooding and landslides.
Climatempo issued a special alert for thunderstorms and heavy rain in the interior of Rio de Janeiro and in the areas bordering Minas Gerais.
Meanwhile, a mass of hot and dry air should return to work in Rio Grande do Sul. The thermometers will rise again and can reach close to 40ºC, as we saw about ten days ago.

- Moderate rain: coast of AL, PE and CE;
- Sun and few rain showers: coast and capital of RS, mountains, south, coast and valley of Itajaí, in SC, south, east and north of BA, hinterland of PI, interior of CE and coast between RN and south of BA;
- Sun without rain: interior of RS, central-west of SC, southwest and south of PR, border of AM with Peru, Colombia and Venezuela, and also interior of PB, PE, SE, AL and northeast of BA.
