Rain persists in much of Brazil this weekend; see forecast

The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) changed on Friday (3) the alert classification for heavy rains in the Northeast and, now, some states are at risk of flooding, landslides and river overflows during this Saturday (4) .

The coast of Pernambuco, Alagoas and Sergipe may have accumulated rainfall levels reaching 30 to 60 mm/h or 50 to 100 mm/day, according to Inmet.

In Recife, the day starts cloudy with showers, isolated thunderstorms and moderate wind. Air humidity can reach 100%. The maximum is 28ºC and the minimum is 23ºC.

On Sunday (5), the thermometers should mark a minimum of 22ºC and a maximum of 28ºC. The storms are forecast until Tuesday (7) in the capital of Pernambuco. The state recorded 128 fatalities due to heavy rains.

North East weather forecast

Aracaju should start this Saturday with isolated showers that should last all day. The wind is weak and the maximum temperature can reach 28ºC. The minimum temperature must be 22º. On Sunday the forecast is the same, rainy weather throughout the day with no change in thermometers.

In Maceió, the rain is expected to persist throughout the weekend. This Saturday, the day dawns with many clouds and the temperature should not exceed 27ºC. On Sunday, the thermometers begin to drop. The maximum is 26ºC and the minimum will be 21ºC, with isolated rains.

In Bahia, Salvador starts Saturday with lots of clouds and with the possibility of isolated rains starting in the afternoon. The maximum can reach 28ºC and the minimum to 22ºC.

São Paulo should not have rain during the weekend. Saturday will have a high of 19ºC and a low of 13ºC. On Sunday, the day should be colder because of a fog and the maximum will not exceed 20ºC. The minimum is 11ºC.

In Rio de Janeiro, Saturday dawns with the possibility of rain throughout the day. The weather must have many new and isolated blows. The maximum is 23ºC and the minimum is 17ºC. During Sunday the weather is clear, free of clouds, according to Inmet.

This Saturday morning starts with a cloudy day and rain showers in Boa Vista, the capital of Roraima. Thunderstorms can occur throughout the day, according to Inmet. The maximum is 31ºC and the minimum is 24ºC.

Despite the high temperatures in Manaus (AM), the weekend should be rainy in the capital. The high this Saturday should be 31ºC and the low of 24ºC. Rain is forecast throughout the day.

In Cuiabá (MT), the weather is firm on the weekend and the sky will have few clouds. Maximum of 30ºC on Sunday and minimum of 18ºC.

In the south, Porto Alegre (RS) should have a maximum of 19ºC this Saturday and there is no chance of rain. Thermometers can reach 8ºC overnight.
