Rains affect most of Brazil; see the weather forecast for the holiday

A phenomenon known as the elongated area of ​​low pressure favors the formation of charged clouds in southern and southeastern states this Wednesday (7). The Independence holiday will be marked by rains in much of the country.

Rains of up to strong intensity with lightning and gusts of wind can reach almost the entire state of São Paulo, a good part of Paraná, Florianópolis and the North of Santa Catarina. In the capital of Rio Grande do Sul, the predicted rain is isolated and in the morning, with firm weather starting in the afternoon.

In Greater São Paulo, the weather is not closed all day, with the possibility of opening of sun should contribute to the rise in temperatures.

Wind gusts of 40 to 60 km/h can reach the coast of Rio de Janeiro and Natal, in Rio Grande do Norte. Along the northeast east coast, there is a forecast of passing rains. From Salvador to Ilhéus, in Bahia, there is forecast of rain of up to strong intensity, due to the circulation of humid winds, which favor the formation of heavy clouds.

The configuration of sea winds continues to favor the formation of cloud cover on the east coast of the Northeast, as well as rain clouds in part of the north of the country, caused by the hot and humid weather in the region.

There is forecast of heavy rain with atmospheric discharges and gusts of wind in the Center-North of Amazonas, in the western half of Roraima, in the West and northern range of Pará and in Amapá. As well as in their respective capitals, Manaus, Boa Vista, Belém and Macapá.

Dry weather in the Midwest

In the Midwest of the country, dry air predominates in much of the region, with air humidity below 20% in the western half of Goiás and in the eastern half of Mato Grosso. Dryness also marks the day in the south of Tocantins.
