Rains hit the South, Southeast and Northeast again this week, says forecast

The heavy rains that caused disruption last week will continue to hit the South, Southeast and Northeast regions.

THE CNN Radio Climatempo meteorologist Maria Clara Sassaki said that as of Tuesday (6) they will arrive in São Paulo, Espírito Santo and Minas Gerais.

“Especially in eastern São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo and southern Minas Gerais, the amount of water must be high, with potential for landslides and flooding,” he said.

In the North and Northeast, rainfall will also be above average.

“As of Wednesday, they gain intensity, especially in Amazonas and Bahia, in the east and west range”, he said.

In the South, “little by little the amount of water gets smaller”, but there will still be disturbances caused by showers in Santa Catarina and Paraná.

“An extratropical cyclone between the South and Southeast will reinforce the instabilities, but the rains will be less voluminous.”

In the Midwest, however, the rain occurs in isolation, in all states.
