Teams take advantage of truce:
The main concern of the relief teams is to take advantage of the respite in the rains to rescue victims who were isolated due to the flooding. The volume of water has decreased in most interior cities. In Lajeado, it was possible to observe the damage caused by the Taquari flood, which practically consumed the Governador Leonel de Moura Brizola highway (Br-386), which connects Lajeado to the municipality of Estrela.
The Southern Military Command (CMS) reported that the weather forecast is for a window of good weather in most of the state between this Sunday (5) and next Tuesday (7), which is considered “good news” .
According to military personnel at a press conference in Porto Alegre, there should be rain this Monday (6) only in the extreme south of Rio Grande do Sul.
