The Federal Police will end rescue actions in cities hit by floods in Rio Grande do Sul at the end of the day this Friday (10). The institution informed that the teams will begin to take place punctually, according to requests that arrive.
According to the state PF, there has been a reduction in the number of people requesting removal from their homes in recent days. And this will allow for the expansion of actions aimed at public order.
This Friday there will be an operational effort by the PF to convince people who are at risk to leave their homes.
From Saturday onwards, the Federal Police will employ all teams for public security actions.
The police are passing on the information so that it reaches people who still do not want to leave their homes, mainly in Eldorado do Sul. The PF wants to warn that today will be the last day that rescue actions will actively take place.
In the Porto Alegre region, there are 370 federal police officers from Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná, Santa Catarina and BrasÃlia, operators of the Tactical Operations Command (COT), which is the elite group, Ready Intervention Group (GPI), Núcleo of Maritime Police (NEPOM) and the Operational Aviation Command (Caop).
