Raisi: Iran will target Israel’s heart if it moves against its country

Iran’s armed forces will target the heart of Israel if it makes “the slightest move” against the Islamic Republic, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi warned today in a speech on the occasion of Armed Forces Day.

“Zionist regime, you should know that (…) if you make the slightest move against our nation, our armed forces will target your heart,” Rice said in a televised speech.

In front of the platform where the Iranian president was and army officers paraded troops, while helicopters flew overhead and paratroopers fell nearby, next to the tomb of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic.

The parade also featured rockets, personnel carriers, drones and small submarines.

“Our defense strategy is not aggressive,” he said.

The United States and Iran have been in indirect talks for more than a year on reviving the 2015 agreement on Iran’s nuclear program, following Washington’s withdrawal from it and the resumption of sanctions against Iran.

However, the talks were suspended last month after Iran’s request to withdraw the Revolutionary Guards from the State Department’s list of terrorist organizations was met.

At the same time, Tehran has blamed Israel for various attacks against Iranian facilities linked to the country’s nuclear program, as well as Iranian scientists. Israel has not denied or confirmed the allegations.
