The crown prince Al Hussein, 29 years old, the Queen’s firstborn Rania of Jordan and say Abd Allah, is about to become a father. By the summer, as announced last April by the Hashemite royal court, his wife, the princess Rajwa, 30, will give birth to their first child. The couple has just reappeared in public for the celebrations in honor of Silver Jubilee of King Abdullah, who ascended the throne on June 9th twenty-five years ago. And Al Hussein, for the occasion, posted a photo on Instagram with which he allowed us to take a peek at his wife’s baby bump: «Rajwa and I before the national event that marked His Majesty’s Silver Jubilee», wrote the prince in both English and Arabic accompanying the shot which shows them all smiling. Who knows why the post is no longer visible on the prince’s profile. However, via social media, he has already traveled around the world.

Princess Rajwa had not been seen in public for some time. The last photos of her date back to last February, at her father’s funeral, then nothing more of her, not even a royal duty at her husband’s side. Now, however, to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of King Abdullah, Rajwa is back in the spotlight. During the celebrations – which took place last weekend – she and her husband sat in the front row with King Abdullah and Queen Rania. Al Hussein’s younger brothers were naturally also present at the event: Princess Iman, Princess Salma and Prince Hashem.
After such an important milestone, the royal family is now preparing to celebrate another happy event: the birth of the royal baby who will make Rania of Jordan and King Abdullah II grandparents for the first time. A few days ago, in one rare interview on Al Arabiya TVthe twenty-nine-year-old Al Hussein had said that his entire family is over the moon about the baby on the way: «We are really excited and happy. My mother started buying things for the baby weeks ago». In the same interview Al Hussein spent on his thirty-year-old wife, ex designer from one of the most influential families in Riyadh (as well as being related to the Saudi Royal House) words full of love and esteem: «Thanks to her I changed for the better. Rajwa has a good character, since we got married I have become calmer. It is a great blessing to have found the woman of my life.”. Their wedding was celebrated in Amman, in the presence of a crowd of crowned heads, on 1 June 2023. Now, just a year later, the two royals are preparing to welcome their first child.
