South African President Cyril Ramaphosa contested President Donald Trump’s statement that white South Africans are suffering “genocide” in the country during their meeting at the Oval Hall on Wednesday (21).
Ramaphosa asked Trump that “[ouvisse] their stories, their perspectives ”.
Soon after, Ramaphosa sat in an uncomfortable silence while Trump made his advisers show a small documentary with a mix of videos, including South African politician Julius Malema.
Trump and several members of his government, including Elon Musk, claimed that the South African government is chasing its white minority. South Africa vehemently denied the allegations.
