The actor Raul Gazolla 69, used social media to remember and honor his ex-wife Daniella Perez who died exactly 32 years ago. The actress was murdered by her fellow actor William of Padua and his ex-wife, Paula Thomaz on December 28, 1992.
In the publication, he republishes photos shared by author and screenwriter Glória Perez, Daniella’s mother. “12/28/1992. As my friend Glória Perez says, time does NOT soften anything… It’s 32 years of time, love, life and longing”, she mentions in her caption.
Raul Gazolla’s then wife was the victim of a brutal crime, receiving 18 stabs with scissors and no opportunity to react. The investigations revealed Pádua and Thomaz as responsible.
The couple was convicted of the murder by a popular jury. According to the accusation, the crime was motivated by envy and resentment, as the actor was persistently seeking more prominence for his character in the soap opera.
Guilherme confessed to the crime hours after the incident. According to investigations, Pádua approached Daniella at the end of the recordings, forcing her to get into the car, which was driven by his wife to the place where the murder took place.
In 1997, Guilherme de Pádua was sentenced to 19 years in prison and Paula Nogueira Thomaz to 18 years and 6 months for the murder of the actress, classified as qualified homicide for a base motive and with no chance of defense for the victim.
Pádua died on November 6, 2022, as a result of a heart attack. Thomaz changed his name and is free.
