If you are one of those nerds who wait for the end of the credits of the Marvel and Star Wars films to discover the extra scene that will be fundamental to understand something of the story to come, then you know well what an Easter Egg is. If you do not know, we tell you: the Easter Eggs are those references that the animators cleverly hide throughout the film, small references to other films that represent a very thin thread between the current work and the previous ones already made.
In the case of Raya and the Last Dragon, the latest Walt Disney Animation Studios film available on DVD and Blu-Ray starting May 18th, the Easter Eggs, as we show you in the exclusive video that you can find above, are two: the cockerel of Oceania Hei Hei, who appears during the market scene, and a small lizard that is very reminiscent of Bruni, the salamander of Frozen 2.
These are just some of the goodies available in the extra contents present in the Blu-Ray of the film, which draws inspiration from the cultures and peoples of Southeast Asia bringing the viewer into the magical world of Kumandra, where long ago humans and dragons lived together in harmony. When an evil force threatened their land, all dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity, seemingly extinguishing forever. Five hundred years later that same evil force has returned, and it is up to Raya, a lone warrior, to seek out the last surviving legendary dragon to unite her people and fight the threat together.
During her journey, however, Raya will learn that a dragon is not enough to save the world. but that it will also take trust and teamwork. In addition to the epic scenes of Raya and the Last Dragon, the DVD edition includes, among others, the animated short Forever us, while that of Blu-Ray adds many unreleased contents such as le scene eliminate and insights with filmmakers. The Italian version of the film, directed by Don Hall and Carlos López Estrada and co-directed by Paul Briggs and John Ripa, is also embellished with exceptional voice actors ranging from Luisa Ranieri (Virana) to Paolo Calabresi (Tong), da Vittoria Schisano (General Atitaya) to Maryna. Little curiosity: from 4 June, the film will be available on the Disney + platform for all subscribers at no additional cost.
