The Razer Kraken gaming headset apparently saved the wearer’s life by deflecting a stray bullet through a window.
The user Enough_Dance_956 shared the story of his luck on Reddit. According to the story, the author was spending time with friends at his house in California early in the morning. And suddenly a stray bullet flew through the window and ricocheted off the headset, hit the wall and eventually stopped its movement on the bed.
The story was accompanied by a selection of photographs as evidence – they show holes and gouges from a 9 mm caliber bullet in the headset, window and wall, and then the bullet itself on the bed. The author noted:
If not for a good quality headset, I would be dead at 18. I can’t even imagine all the pain my family and friends would go through.”
The alleged incident occurred in the city of Torrance. It is reported that the police were called to seize the bullet.
Without seeing the police report itself, we can’t be completely sure the incident happened the way the Reddit user described it. But the photographs quite convincingly show that the bullet actually hit the window.
