This week at MWC 2022, several promising models based on the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 single-chip system were announced, including OnePlus Nord 3, Redmi K50 and Realme GT Neo 3. The latter has already been highlighted in the Geekbench database, making it possible to compare the performance of Dimensity 8100 with other single-chip platforms.

The Realme GT Neo 3 scored 965 points in the single-threaded test and 4071 points in the multi-threaded test. In comparison, the Moto Edge X30, the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC smartphone, scores around 3800 in the multi-threaded test. The rest of the models on the top Qualcomm SoC are not much more. So even the Dimensity 8100 was faster than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, not to mention the flagship Dimensity 9000. At the same time, the Dimensity 8100 score in the single-threaded test is close to that of the Snapdragon 870 – it has about 1000 points.

In general, this is another proof that the new platform for mid-range smartphones from MediaTek turned out to be successful. As for the Realme GT Neo 3 itself, it runs Android 12 and has 12GB of RAM. The smartphone has already been certified in China by the local regulator TENAA, so the official premiere will take place soon – before the end of the month. Speaking of which, the Realme GT Neo 3 will be one of the first smartphones to support 150W charging, and here’s how it works.
