Realme introduced a 4K set-top box in the format of a flash drive – a direct competitor to Chromecast

Realme has finally officially announced a set-top box in TV Stick format called Realme 4K Smart Google TV Stick and has announced a launch date for the device. Earlier it was assumed that the novelty will be presented in September along with smartphones of the Narzo 50 series, but this did not happen. According to the company’s official Twitter page, the Realme 4K Smart Google TV Stick will launch in India on October 13 alongside the flagship Realme GT Neo2.

According to the company, the gadget will be powered by Google TV, and this is the second such device on the market. The first is known to be Chromecast with Google TV. The novelty will receive support for all major streaming platforms, as well as games and applications from Google Play. The set-top box can output content in 4K format at 60 frames per second and HDR10 +. It has an HDMI 2.1 port, built-in support for Chromecast and Google Assistant. The company hopes to create worthy competition for Google and Xiaomi consoles.

The detailed specifications of the Realme 4K Smart Google TV Stick have not yet been disclosed, but leaks have revealed that the device will be powered by an Amlogic quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. Also reported is dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2. The cost of the set-top box should be about $ 67.
